Clap for our Carers : Tonight 8pm

Another social with dubious distancing on our road. What was positive just three or so weeks ago has become completely "look at me", a passive/aggressive competition for who can make the most noise and say hello to more people on the road. Pretty disgusting when the whole point was going to be...

Is there a way to take that the right way? Why do you keep replying then?

That’s not at all what you said and I didn’t ask what you did for a living. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Would I? Even the ones that don't want it like the doctor in that article? What about the key workers who are so modest and mild they can't bring themselves to say what it is they do on internet forums? Do you Facebook shame the ones who are wired differently to you?

Clap for our Carers : Tonight 8pm

Yep, spot on. Next door neighbours still standing on their wall and whooping and hollering like they've won the FA feckin Cup. It's almost like they want the whole street to see them.....

As I said I sincerely hope you're right and I'm wrong.

Yeah, I tossed that up, so to speak. I think the social division will be reinforced massively in the post infection recovery. So and so had it easy because they had a garden. So and so couldn't wait to be furloughed. So and so was a key worker and so and so wasn't. So and so is already back off...

Clap for our Carers : Tonight 8pm

There's nothing wrong with clapping for the NHS. There's also nothing wrong with NOT clapping for the NHS. The social judgment around CV19 is its second worst feature after killing old people.

Yeah that's how it's going in our road. I had to cut it at 8.15 but only to join a Zoom call for my mate's birthday. Talking of Uber Eats he was delivered an unexpected kebab from one of us mid call. Spot on. Good post.

It is becoming very pointless. I think NHS workers know now. But who's going to be the one to raise their head above the parapet to say "enough now"? It won't be Boris or any self styled community leader. Imagine the publicity.

Clap for our Carers : Tonight 8pm

It's a bit of a social down our street. People tend to head out early if it's nice and yell their business across the street, The turnout is excellent but it's very much about breaking the monotony of lockdown rather than anyone particularly thinking of the NHS. I say that to set a scene. As...

Clap for our Carers : Tonight 8pm

On our road pretty much everyone was out. There was an ambulance at the bottom of the road that drove up it as people were out. It got the reception that a rock star gets on encore or we give our boys when we've just hammered Palace and the final whistle blows. Driver responded by waving and...

It can't do any harm and it might just do some good. Time to suspend cynicism and come together as much as we can. Stay 2 metres apart though
