One of the things I THINK I'm reading in to this season so far is that the days of "We are Brighton and we play only one way" are well and truly over. We don't set up as 4-4-2 for the whole 90 mins, we go 4-5-1 if winning from about 75 mins. We have wingers who can play up front and a right/left...

But the point that the OP made and big nuts was that you need the players and commitment to make it work. Spanish Dave, Orlandi and Bridcutt would have been hopeless in a 4-4-2 and under Oscar we only had one striker fit most of the time.
