    That was mainly The Large One To be fair to him that's exactly what David Burke said to him on the Roar. Why would you publicly contradict something you yourself got from an interviewee? The interesting thing now is that either Burke was being disingenuous then or Oscar is now.

    Indeed. People tend to think of 'budget' as transfers and wages of new players forgetting that we have to pay the wages and bonuses of existing ones. Presumably Dev Squad players also count towards the playing budget mentioned in the various articles?

    I wouldn't. The current structure doesn't work in England. You could put the director of football wages and benefits plus the cost of recruiting a new manager every May in to the playing budget as a bonus.

    I agree there are two completely separate issues here. The first is the budget. It cannot and should not be broken, not just because of FFP but because doing so is an unsustainable way to run anything. On this the club have my backing and it's something we need to get used to.
