Yeah I'm sure you're right. I'd ask next time I saw him but as he left my sister in law with f*** all and a kid to feed I'd have to jog his memory with a heavy implement in the unlikely event we ever meet again.
Blimey. Sense from a Palace fan. Ex Bro in law is a big time Oxford fan & hates Swindon. Has never mentioned Reading apart from the Thames Valley Royals thing.
Oxford and Swindon are rivals. The lovely Robert Maxwell tried to merge Oxford and Reading into Thames Valley Royals. Oxford and Wycombe are apparently fine with each other as neither could have woken a toddler at the game I saw.
I was in the West with the friends of my parents that took me back then. Don't remember it being electric but I do remember Keith Casells ripping us a new one. Apparently something happened afterwards in Hove Park
Yep. Southampton 86 and Arsenal 88 anyone? And those were just games I was old (and lucky) enough to be in the North at the Goldstone for. I bet they were nothing on 1983.
My sister in law's ex is an Oxford fan and dragged me along to your new year game against Wycombe a few years ago. Never mind graveyard, it was like a Mars exploration and that was for a supposed local derby. People who live in three sided grounds just shouldn't.
There were a group on our train from Brighton keeping their heads down but then my seven year old is pretty scary when riled. He'll sing you the Annoying Orange and everything.
