He's doing well in terms of finding space and dictating play with long balls, but if Wales pick up on that and stop him doing it then he's in trouble. He's not a natural midfielder, but with him it could work.
Agreed. I can understand if it's closer out, where the wall is more effective (harder to get the ball up and down) but when 35 yards out, that's lots of time for Bale to do it...so you have to cover the goal more and less reliance on the wall. I'm a terrible goalkeeper and I know that!
