I've lost a lot of the past two months to being a right lazy git! Nothing wrong with having a bit of time out – as long as you get back on it, you'll be absolutely fine.
Good luck – sounds like a real running plan is coming together! Littlehampton 10k is probably the only 10k I would consider doing, having had a connection to CTH and run it many times before.

Whenever I go out with the intention of a PB, it normally goes horribly wrong. My 20:54 PB came after a short run down to Hove Park (I never normally warm up) and just going with the flow. Funny how these things happen (or don't!).

Thank you. It was an awesome day out. I echo what everyone says about parkrun. It remains the best thing about running for me – I've done over 250 of the things and still love it! Now the IM is out of the way I'll be back there regularly having had to give it a miss due to cycling/swim training...
I started running way before 'Couch to 5k' was even a thing, but I probably did something similar to you. Just kept going for runs that added a bit more distance each time. Started in July and by the next April I'd run the London Marathon.
