    [Football] Potter [NOT] at Chelsea

A number of posts comparing how we did immediately after Totally agree. And those arguing De Zerbi would have finished 8th, well it is hardly fair to expect any new manager to hit the ground running compared to a manager who has been in the job 3 years and who knows the players very well. Dunk...

I was too polite to ask but the same thought occurred....

    [Football] Potter [NOT] at Chelsea

And I think this is the elephant in the room for Potter lovers. I do admire Potter and am grateful to him, but those results at home made my Albion mojo the lowest it has been probably ever and were it not for the time spent with my sons and brother, I would perhaps have given up my season...

Only 13 years may be a nasty shock to them.
  6. Green Cross Code Man

    [Football] Potter [NOT] at Chelsea

I believe the chances of Potter landing another 'Big 6' job in the near future are almost zero. Although there were mitigating circumstances for his sacking, his reputation is tarnished at least in the immediate future. Liverpool or spurs fans would go nuts if he was suddenly unveiled.

    Turned down Leicester already.

Agree with all this but what does 'picking peanuts out of poo' mean? I know there are all sorts of curious fetishes around but why would a multi-millionaire indulge in that?
  10. Green Cross Code Man

    [Football] Potter [NOT] at Chelsea

    Widely reported so.
  11. Green Cross Code Man

    [Football] Potter [NOT] at Chelsea

Sorry I meant that the thread was full of talk of Potter at palace, so I thought you were being 'funny'. I would love it if he went there, 50/50 whether he does a good or bad job, but it would spice up our derby no end and also we would have the added pleasure that if things went belly up for...

    Satire, surely? :p
  13. Green Cross Code Man

    [Football] Potter [NOT] at Chelsea

That article is spot on. 'Why, really why, would anyone appoint Graham Potter and then make such vigorous attempts to give him the least Graham Potter-like working environment imaginable?'
  14. Green Cross Code Man

    [Football] Potter [NOT] at Chelsea

    Plagiarism? Lol!
  15. Green Cross Code Man

    [Football] Potter [NOT] at Chelsea

Nah, not bullying. For bullying to occur the person being bullied needs to actually be on the receiving end. I can't imagine Potter is reading NSC right now. It's just schadenfreude.
  16. Green Cross Code Man

    [Football] Potter [NOT] at Chelsea

Maybe it's not the vitriol you don't understand, but football rivalry?
  17. Green Cross Code Man

    Hahaha tosser.
  18. Green Cross Code Man

Probably more 'he wouldn't be in the position he is without us'. And I liked Potter, but Bloom could easily have lost patience in one of Potter's many underachieving spells, and then he'd have blotted his copybook and probably managed a decent championship side again with no chance of a big 6 club.

Apologies on my part then as well. Wires crossed, I blame my age. 👍

Well I for one would be very interested to read any such unsavoury comments that were acting gleefully about the death threats. Then I can put the people on ignore. I have read thread, but seem to have missed them. Please could you quote or direct me to any such statement?
