    NHS leg pain

My GP (who I think has something of an interest in dermatology) told me that chemo (and ABVD in particular) can reawaken dormant skin conditions such as eczema etc and a doctor at the Sussex County confirmed to me that this can sometimes happen so hopefully its nothing for you to worry about...

    NHS leg pain

That's the same as the Sussex County - the follow up appointment with the oncologist is usually 2 or even 3 weeks after the scan and even then you can go along for the appointment and the oncologist hasn't got the results. Always worth phoning up before the appointment to try and make sure the...

    NHS leg pain

If your arm is painful from the Dicarbazine then talk to one of the chemo nurses about having a PICC line. They aren't really too much of a hassle and usually a community nurse will come and visit you once a week to keep it clean which can be reassuring but best of all no more painful arm and...

Cornish - it is going to be a tough few months for you but you will get through it and to prove the point I was 4b, had 2 PET scans, a bone marrow test and was on a 2 weekly cycle of ABVD for 6 months. If there is anything you want to know just ask.

From what I remember they have to wait for the different cultures to grow from the biopsy so the doctors can't speed...

    NHS leg pain

Sorry to hear that Cornish but as I said the other day this sort of thing can happen and at least they have come back to you reasonably quickly although that doesn't help your sense of frustration. I had to wait 2 weeks before finding out I needed a second biopsy and then had to wait another 2...

    NHS leg pain

I had chemo. I had to have it once every two weeks for six months so it was quite intense - it was okay to begin with but by the end it was bloody hard work. Spent the last two months or so in bed as I was just too exhausted to do anything else. It then took at least 6 months to recover from...

    NHS leg pain

I’ve only just looked at this thread and realised what it is about but good luck. I can only reiterate what everyone else has said about trying to remain positive and hopefully you will realise that a lot of people have been through similar difficulties and come out the other side. I went to...
