It could be,if Scotland were refused the pound and or a credit union, all this sickening talk by some of the Yes campaign that they think we shall let them have England's finance..taken as if we will without even really asking..
I hope they get what they want and they can pay for it too!!
I hope we are not about to see (if the vote is yes) Scotland become a very exclusive & expensive place to live.
We could get a huge migration in the tens of thousands south bound, of all of those that simply cannot afford to live up there any more.
If you were/are a Scot you would have about 45 pence to our pound after we have deducted our interest,i could lend you a pound that gives you 65 pence if you like.
Are you speculating that if they vote No,we shall give concessions, perhaps they will vote again in years to come anyway.
Or if they vote yes, they will come to us for help and we will give it,why would that be required if the Yes people are so very very sure?
Therefore perhaps what you are...
Which,my good friend is why Labour lost the last election, not withstanding the financial issues,no Englishman was going to allow a Scot to continue to head Westminster parliament having elected himself.
Madder still that the so called MP's have allowed such a situation to arise, that in an...
Hello Vegas....i know you are a financial guru of sorts, what do you make of the proposed idea by the Scot's to be independent and how do you see the currency issue?

I am not trying to say i am right or wrong,but...
Changes nothing really, any invasion coming in from the North can be potentially halted at the narrowing of Hadrian's wall, besides try not to think that any future war will be fought in the way of the last one ended, big mistake.
So without control of it's own finance one would have to conclude one is not independent?

Well,we need to keep our options open,it's good to be close to our neighbour's but independent, now if Scotland stayed within the United Kingdom and we all left Europe,it's a big wide world out there,we are going to be forward thinking,i don't doubt that we are looking commercially to India,China...
Quiet true,England never conquered Scotland and the United Kingdom was formed in part because of marriage of an English and a Scottish royal...
You put forward a good case for the defence of the Yes vote, especially when you compare our plight with Brussel's,i suppose i would like to see us stay...
We can all mock and state things, but it will have ramifications potentially for all of us and i personally hope it does not rock the boat too much,it should not but it might.
