Personally i thought the recruits were very weak,mainly in the mental department,still that's what the trainings for to toughen them up mentally... can't imagine the RM's in 1982 being anything like that,just as in many areas of life today, some standards have slipped a little.
Those that can walk the walk as well as talking the talk will stay,seems to0 many talkers at this stage,be cranking up the discipline in the next instalment,no doubt,i liked that,good viewing..

Perhaps i am missing the point too,as others have pointed out,marines seem more "thinkers" too?
