Just been looking at the trains on a Saturday from Falmer to Lewes for after matches next season and it seems the Lewes only (17.01) is now running before the Eastbourne train (17.08) rather than after it, WTF nobody will get on that train as they will wait for the Eastbourne or Seaford trains...

So what's the excuse for cancellations today then nothing going out of Lewes to Falmer at the moment *****

New service running today, empty trains from Eastbourne to Ashford as they only have a driver and not a guard so doesn't actually stop at any stations, nice and quick though I guess

She doesn't feel like she is treated poorly, she know things will get back to normal in a few weeks once all the staff are back as she will be able to take some of the time back again. She also feels responsibility to her "customers" and would only let them down due to other factors out of her...

Quite, my wife has been working 60+ hours a week over the past month to cover staff sickness, she doesn't get overtime, in fact as a salaried employee she doesn't even get paid extra. If she hadn't plenty of people would have suffered but she has a conscious. She is in one

I suppose its what you class as a commuter, there are plenty who travel the Hastings to Eastbourne line to get to work as well as many Catholic kids who commute to bexhill. On strike days we have zero trains.

Hopefully the strikers will grow some balls and picket Falmer station on Friday night

It wouldn't surprise me if it was announced that Falmer station will be closed on Friday night due to safety concerns so they can wash their hands of the risk of crowd disturbances due to (late night shopping) lack of trains, and push the responsibilities back to BHAFC.

Well I know for a fact I have come to work plenty of times when I could have taken a day off sick as if I have stayed at home I would have let a client (customer) down

Rail Replacement Buses, poor connection times and more expensive already looked at that option after Southern nearly stopped me from getting to Wigan last month. Going to have to look again and hope their drivers don't go out in sympathy.

Looks like it, for some reason the Preston train is one of the most expensive journeys of the season and Virgin, despite knowing how to run and railway properly, will not give a monkey's about refunding tickets because of the southern ***** on strike, still I can get my Polegate to London money...
