The Honours system is a shocking anachronism. To give someone a Peerage for nothing more than having an opinion is simply shallow, divisive and cheap. However, in fairness, had Remain won, would a grateful PM (say Cameron) had dome the same? I'd like to think 'no'.

I'm not sure if Lord Beef does much by way of nuance or irony - his residency in Spain whilst bellowing about Brexit might show this -but even he might think it's a bit odd to be given a role as an unelected policy-maker on the basis of ranting about unelected policy-makers.
