Is it really? I never knew that, always thought it was about 40. So it was a dumb question...still, any day when you learn something new isn't a wasted day.:thumbsup:

This might be(probably is) a really dumb question but...if the Isle of wight is 40 odd miles away and can be seen from Brighton, how come you can't see France which is also 40 odd miles away? Or can you and I just never noticed it?
