[Football] VAR set to be used in Premier League next season

No, not yet. Once upon a time it was only big rich first division clubs that had to install floodlights.

[Football] VAR set to be used in Premier League next season

That's my concern too - and I'm pretty certain we have seen it already. Only thing to do, I suppose, is to make it a rule that the VAR ref cannot give a decision if one is requested - the referees decision will stand, so no point in the ref asking for help. Maybe make it that ref to VAR ref...

[Football] VAR set to be used in Premier League next season

This will need to be drummed into referees then, in words of one syllable ....................... several times in some cases! I still want mandatory yellow cards every time for players who run around making that TV screen gesture too - it will take some drumming into them too, and it will...

Still, I suppose if schools and councils are eventually required to install VAR on all their pitches, and clubs will have to meet the costs, plus paying for six refs, not just one...

[Football] VAR set to be used in Premier League next season

I don't think the refs should have the option of calling up VAR - only to be used if there's a word in his ear from the video ref saying 'you might have got that wrong, mate'. I don't suppose they'll bring this in now though - too late because of existing VAR practices elsewhere. What I would...
