    Cheers - thanks for that - I only had a pretty hazy idea on the California system. Not sure that a 60-40 vote in favour of something isn't actually democracy working, rather than 'Tyranny of the majority' though. After all, the EU referendum (if we actually get one) will be a democratic process...
