Seems entirely logical, especially given that Vicente is likely to be a bit busy for the next week or so. This move keeps him "ours" until such time as a proper new deal can be concluded, which I suspect is a case of fine details and no more.

My glass is half full on this one. He is under contract to Brighton & Hove Albion (you know, the team we all love and support) until or unless we are told otherwise, surely that is something to be happy about?

Gus has said all along that any extension would only be if Vicente was happy here and wanted to stay here. Therefore to me, it has been because he is and he does. Simples.
