    You are probably right but I use my wing mirrors and rearview one all the time so am aware of what traffic is behind me if I am thinking of overtaking.

    I check it’s working every time I get on a dual carriageway or motorway when leaving home, you may be right but if it is working I don’t look over my shoulder anymore. If there’s nothing in my blind spot I can see in the wing mirror whether it’s safe to pull out or not

    Blind spot monitoring is fantastic, the best safety feature of all imo. Quick glance in the wing mirror before pulling out and as long as there is not a yellow triangle illuminated you know there is not a car in your blind spot.

    Lane keep assist apart, all the other features you mention are good, especially the blind spot monitor and emergency braking.

    Nope, because if you pull out to overtake a parked car and go over the line or are on narrow country lane and cross the line it will try and pull you back or alert you if you have just set warning rather than taking over control. You have to indicate to nullify it. Anyway it seems some think...

    If you can’t keep in lane you need to question your driving ability and awareness. Having said that there are many who can’t so you may have a point.
