    That Gold-Bears album is bloody great, but I'm afraid you lose points for use of the T word. Grrr! Still not got round to listening to the new Proper Ornaments album yet, but I loved their debut. I'd add bands like The West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band to the mix, and a mid-80's Flying Nun...

    I find it gets better the more I listen to it, and I like to play it from start to finish in order whereas I'm usually happy to shuffle (fnarrr fnarrr etc). It becomes hypnotic and almost trance-inducing, which is surprising for what is quite a noisy offering. I find it works best on public...
