Agree they are looking strong already but you never know. Looks like Townsend will go and they may take a bit of time to gel with a number of new players. Playing them in August might be good. Plus I've never been to St James' Park!

I agree re other teams although there's not been a lot of action in the Championship so far. I think we're going to have to accept that, as we're going for higher quality players to finish the squad off, we might have to wait a bit.

I think it definitely is. I am a little disappointed we've not done more so far this summer but we've got a much stronger starting point. We've got a team that could compete against Derby if played today even with no further signings but I would hope to have at least one striker in by then.

For us, not in the league except for half an hour against Burnley when Bruno went off. Think he played a couple of cup games there. However, across his career, it has been his best and most regular position from what I have heard. Can't believe Bruno will play every league game again this season...

In fairness, he got five goals in two thirds of a season. Not that much of a jump to ten goals in a season. Not saying I want Wilson but that response to the initial post is unnecessary.

I agree. Was hoping, as we don't need the number of players we did last season, that we would be a pretty much complete squad by mid July. There's no need to panic but we really need to get at least one striker in soon so we have a bit of depth for the start of the season. Others can wait if...

Agree with this. Bruno was fantastic last season but I'd like to see Rosenior and Bong as our two first choice full backs this season with Bruno and a new left back as back up.
