If Froome was going walking pace then hes just cleared any doubt of dodgy goings on in my opinion! ;o)
And I reckon the booing was simply down to the fact the race was passing through Bardets home town / region too. They are pretty fanatical about their local talent over there, so I wouldn't...
Anybody else getting bored of this years race already?
I know weve had the Sagan incident, the day of attrition with Porte etc abandoning, & a great breakaway by Calmejane, which has sparked some interest....but the rest so far has been very "meh" in my opinion.
So fed up of seeing the peleton...
Just seen this myself - Robert Millar was one of my heroes growing up....what a climber & super domestique!
I, like others, had heard the rumours over the years - and totally echo your sentiments Stat. Will be great to hear her views and commentary when the roads really start to ramp up...
Hearing that Tony Martin may possibly be pulled out after yesterdays crash & subsequent concussion.
Team Fignons Ponytail is falling apart....& we havent even finished week 1!
All I can say is thank god these commisaires werent around in the days of the Tashkent Terror or the Lion King - we wouldnt have any sprinters left in the race. Harsh DQ if you ask me but whats done is done!
Just looked on the Bahrain Merida website, & Izagirre is having surgery as he fractured his lower back! :-(
Really hope he recovers well and is racing again when able.
Gutted to see Izagirre crashed and abandoned today as well. With Nibali not riding I had him in my fantasy team and was hoping for a decent points haul. One rider down already...unbelievable.
