    [Drinking] Cows milk

We can endlessly go around in circles on this, but ultimately it's all just about our personal choices and beliefs. The not for humans argument is a bit of a straw man really, it's obviously true because biologically it's being produced for baby cows. But your point is of course that none of...

    [Drinking] Cows milk

A bit of re-wording and that could be the new motto for Dairy Crest! :D Natural is a word that's been appropriated by the food industry to mean healthy, when most of the time it's just nonsense. There are plenty of things that are natural and highly toxic. I know that isn't what you meant...

    [Drinking] Cows milk

That's because the milk from their mother's is too valuable for them. It is to be sold to us.

    [Drinking] Cows milk

That's fair enough really, it's entirely your decision what you do and whether you feel bad about it or not. I can't say I blame you, I drank it for the vast majority of my life so far and loved it, didn't ever feel bad about it. This is always a laugh...

    [Drinking] Cows milk

Fully agree with your whole post. The other evidence for me is that we are not cows :) You don't see people harping on about the benefits of rat milk, or dog milk. But it's no different - it's just another mammal that isn't a human. Why don't we milk chimps? Imagine the fury in this...

    [Drinking] Cows milk

I understand that there are exceptions, and by no means do all male calves get shot. Lots of them go for beef, which frankly is probably better than being a female cow. There are around 2 million calves born in the UK each year. Let's say half are male. Of these, there is about a 50/50 split...

Not in the UK - they don't bother to keep the male calves here because there is no market for it. If they are female they are kept and impregnated as early as possible, then put on the milking machines. For males they just get shot straight after they've been born. Cheaper that way.

Oatly foamable / barista is brilliant. It's the best one I've found for tea and coffee, although it's a bit sweet. I can't stand any of the plant-based milks in cereal, it's the one thing I really miss. There is a really good soya milk for hot drinks as well, Bonsoy. But it is seriously...
