To be fair, you were right. He’s not a good enough midfielder at international level and that change effected us badly. The lad’s got balls though, he showed fantastic character and I’m sure Southgate will learn from that.

I said it at the time. Dreadful sub. It’s totally handed the initiative to them. Dier is not an international midfielder. RLC and Rashford should have come on. Players who are confident and comfortable on the ball. Dier and Vardy are old England.
