The fares depends on the journey and comparing like with like, but as someone who hasn't paid for a ticket in 35 years and will never , ever do so I am not in a position to comment about this and the price of tickets

Go on then post the German punctuality figures to back up your arguments , as for staff being helpful I travelled all over Berlin on the S Bahn and U Bahn and didn't see anyone because they don't have staff do they ?

Regardless of Herr T's rubbish the German trains are just as unreliable as British trains and in places have worse timekeeping

I don't remember much industrial action on the trains recently here, how are things going on DB ? The proposed week long strike may cause a few cancellations in the Fatherland
