    If we spend more than 2-3m on any player at this level I would begin to question our recruitment credentials. There is a whole world of players out there. A club should be able to recruit players of a very high standard without spending more than that. And countless have proved it.

    The thing that annoyed me was the marrows. If that was a deal clincher then a visit to the Open Market could have resolved our shortcomings. I'm sure a couple of juicy melons would have been a head turner. But we may have been in breach of FFP (Fair Fruit Portions)
