Kidney is absolutely VILE and completely ruins the steak aspect of any pie. My mum used to make steak and kidney pie, and I'd spend the entire meal carefully picking the disgusting bits of kidney out of it. Not easy, when its all covered in crust and gravy. If I missed a bit and ate it, I'd GAG.
