Sure, but it IS something of an irrelevance still. Whenever a football “misbehaves” in some way, the knee-jerk so often seems to be to compare them to nurses, firefighters, soldiers or whoever, as they do their jobs (which are obviously more important) for a tiny fraction of the wage footballers...
