Ive been told that a lot of cheap bread contains raising agents to speed the baking process up this is a apparently one of the ingredients that causes problems for some people.
I'm no puritan, if im in a rush i'll have a wrap. It doesn't seem to affect me like a reg sandwich or maybe it doesn't effect me as much! Probably because most of the meal is on the inside not in the bread! :shrug:
As has been said i felt a little bloated and low on energy after a sandwich cut it out and it stopped almost immediately; don't know the exact science but eating wheat evolutionarily speaking is relatively new for us. Replace it with anything bacon and potato salad would be my favourite...
