I have often heard the word obsessive casually bandied around. It seems such a feeble and inadequate noun to describe the OP. Surely there can be no four-legged donkeys within a hundred miles of Hurstpierpoint?

It's obvious that what got most respondents exercised and led to this mini binfest was the unnecessarily overblown and contentious wording of the thread title. If the OP wanted a reasonable discussion he should've begun in a similar fashion.
