I’ll ask! We have cousins with the surname Swindells. Up to a decade ago it was always pronounced “Swindles”. At some point it became “Swin-dells”. My wife’s family are actually from Drayton which is not Cosham High Street.

My wife is from Cosham and they all pronounce it Cozzam.
