Let's get this season done and dusted, and see where we are then, if we survive, then yes, l'll be inclined to agree with you.

We are really punching above our weight now too.
  3. Cowfold Seagull

Indeed it does, but McGhee's preferred way of seeting up a team was far more cautious than Gus's somewhat gung ho approach.

Wonderful memories. I'm still trying to dry out after that night!

Barnet will have employed two mad dog managers then, as Martin Allen was there a while ago too. I would have thought that McGhee is the complete antithesis of Allen managerially speaking, and not a 'mad dog' at all.
  6. Cowfold Seagull

Gus may of known the new stadium was just around the corner, but he still had to get the poor team that he inherited promotion. It only took him a season and a half to do it, which was some doing.
  10. Cowfold Seagull

    [Albion] Mark McGhee

True. If he still has ambitions to manage at a highter level, being involved in the EFL may keep him more in the spotlight.
  11. Cowfold Seagull

    [Albion] Mark McGhee

Been out of the English game for a bit too long to walk straight back into a managerial job at a higher level l think.

An excellent and under valued manager, If he does well at Barnet no reason why we can't see him manage at a higher level again.
