That's not what I meant at all. Of course we scouted him! All I was saying was, that he was unheard of by the vast majority of people in this country. When players come in from foreign clubs, and have never played in this country, however good they are it is always a bit of a gamble. With Leo...
Ulloa was a complete punt though, totally unheard of and unproven in this country. We got very lucky with him, and it came good for us, and particularly for him, as he is now playing in the Premier League.
Apart from the odd cameo, (Potsmouth and Derby?), Vincente was only a great player on paper whilst wearing an Albion shirt.
I have high hopes that Knockaert will be far more than that.
I pray for Tomer, love him as a player, puts so much effort in, runs his socks off and always wants the ball. I thought after he bagged the winner against Charlton in December after a barren run, he would start hitting the net regularly again. It hasn't happened though, and I now relectantly...
When was it ever any different? Us fans can talk about the likes of Calleri, Bolanos, Rhodes, McCormack, Bamford, Murray, Ulloa et al until we are blue in the face, but the club will NEVER sign players like that.
Every transfer window has been the same, for as long as I can remember.
