Does anyone else remember the carol singers bringing a bloody horse into the Black Horse at Christmas? Can't believe the health & safety wallas allow that any more.

I have grown accustomed to Larkins (brewed in Chiddingstone, near Hever) since all the Kentish folk round here drink that. But I do like a Harvey's Best when back in Sussex.

The details have disappeared into the mists of time, but The Bridge used to be the first pub to get Winter Warmer (or the Gales or K&B equivalent) so we'd drive out from Brighton for it each Autumn. Lovely pint - sorry I can't remember the brewer.
