The new Angel Olsen album is just wonderful. With the new Wedding Present and Nick Cave albums out too September is proving to be a top month.

It could have been me as this is my intention. So far-apart from one CD which was a gift-its going to plan. Have bought a lot of second hand vinyl and probably less new stuff than I would normally during a year. It's certainly a more expensive way of buying stuff but with so many records coming...

There was quite a gap between the two albums and a lack of live dates in this country. Agree its a shame as would have liked to seen/heard more of him.

Got both his albums and only ever saw him once live at The Great Escape. Shame he is in retirement.

Not sure if this lot play together still but drummer is same for both- saw them at The Komedia a few years back and a great live band. Also signed to Rough Trade.

Trouble is I feel old enough to be a parent of the band at particular concerts. In this case we are talking grandparent!

I bet Hinds sound even better live. See that they are playing in February at Patterns.

I got the latest Low album on vinyl from santa and bought myself their Chriistams album. They are a band that seem well suited to vinyl but can't quite pinpoint why.

All the Tin Machine output was probably the worst period.

And the ones before the last one which were actually shit.

A worthwhile treat. Bought lots of vinyl towards the end of 2015 both second hand and new. Lots of the new stuff came with downloadable codes so its an obvious choice in my opinion. Plus some carefully packaged and designed gatefold sleeves that are a joy to own.

I am aiming this year to buy all my music on vinyl. Hope I manage it.

It's one of those difficult choice evenings but going to see Ezra Furman. Think we will see some more Savages dates when the album is out.
