I can assure you that even if these companies gave a 1 % above inflation pay rise each year it wouldn't be enough for a union backed workforce, they would always want more!

My wife and I have had a horrific and stressful year with custody issues of my children and as some light relief have booked to take her away just after Xmas and celebrate NYE abroad, if this trip is disrupted I will hold BA and the unions in contempt, both of them are scum!
