Spot on. It was a good point well made by an articulate man, and even those who weren't stupid enough to take it at face value have focussed on it and used it to deflect away from the racism issue. If he said it was more than he'd donated to Comic Relief he'd have been criticised for showing off.

Absolutely unbeliveable that anybody should take that at face value. He was making a point, although I bet he's been told a million times not to exaggerate.
