The winning thing isn’t my only point though. As I’ve repeated do you want the Albion to just become another once of the teams over spending to survive in a league designed for foreign and domestic TV? Having been what even been through I think it’s a bit depressing. Nothing to do really until...
I think my point is more a wider criticism of the way the Prem functions, as if we are there to make up the numbers. Of course my argument creates a paradox of promotion and relegation but quite frankly its more exciting than just staying afloat which is about as much as we can reasonably expect...
Or you could engage with the thought that I don’t want to see my team make up the numbers in a league we will have little success in. Maybe I’m just a bit sore over this one, but I like to at least see my team score some goals! Just think a few of you on here have swallowed the PL marketing from...
Possibly, but as bad as it got at Withdean and the years before at least it felt like it meant something, you know?. Sure we will get the odd win against the top clubs if we hang on up here for a while longer, but then it essentially becomes like drawing and playing a big team in the cup.
I find irony in being called a plastic at not enjoying the Prem and making up the numbers. For me it seems getting here is what the exciting part was, journey more than the destination
In think your first point is quite flawed; what do we as fans get from that? Thats putting bank numbers ahead of our experience of turning up to games and enjoying seeing us score!
In response to the relegation line, it was rash for sure, but the point about winning a few games a year enough...
I worded it wrongly for sure, as if we stay up it means we would have put in some decent performances and been entertaining. But just about surviving every year, or aiming to finish 12th doesn't fill me with much enjoyment. Maybe I've been treated to too much the last few seasons
Doesn't matter what league you're in, losing and not scoring isn't much fun to watch every week. Looking forward to relegation and not becoming a Sunderland or Wigan.
