Didn't he start his career there on loan, and score in loads of games on the trot? Edit: it was 10 consecutive games that he scored in whilst there, equalling a post-war record.

I'd imagine we'd be interested in him, as would about a dozen other PL clubs (how good does it sound to put ourselves in that bracket!). Realistically, West Ham, Palace and Bournemouth are the most likely destinations for him.
