I've exchanged a few messages with Sean this morning - he'll hop on here later today - he's had a very busy weekend in Rome.
He's confirmed that he's had permission (from the police?) to run another bus as he had a fair few people on a waiting list. There should be some more spaces available now.
I'll answer this bit, as Sean already has. He believes that Italo trains should mainly run, as it's a private company, but there may be delays as the trains are running on state-owned lines.
I don't want to speak for @SeanInRome, but I think why he drops fans off in the Vatican-ish area is that he has a place that is friendly/relatively safe for people to drink and socialise post-match.
