Jesus (somewhat aptly, today) - another day another dose of the same crap.
People wanted to know the criteria for getting into the Albion REMF team because it clearly wasn't on fund-raising or footballing abilities. It has now been explained how, basically, if you've played lots before you're...
I'm not going to waste my time trawling back over this thread just to quote the various comments from yourself, Richie and Andy which illustrate very clearly that the maximising of takings from the football match is not what the match is all about. Those comments were made by you, Richie et al...
Oh FFS give it a rest Gareth, this is getting very dull. Are you really mis-interpreting nearly everything that is said, or are just trying to provoke?
1. No-one is sniping at Richie now. The comments above were made many hours ago.
2. Those comments were not sniping at all. In the context of...
Of course I don't and I didn't say that.
What I am saying is that it has been said by many of you closely involved that the primary aim of the football match is not to raise as much money as possible. You have all said that. Yes, you are very keen to raise money, I don't think anyone is...
What has that got to do with Richie's somewhat bizarre comment above?
Are they? That's not what I'm saying, neither is it my read on what others are saying. It is very clear from yourself, Richie and Andy's comments on this thread that the primary aim of the football match is NOT to raise as...
But the primary aim of the charity, hell any charity for that matter, is to raise as much money as possible surely? If not, then just what is the point?
If I understand the figures correctly, if the player sponsorships for REMF 2009 had been on a par with previous years around £500 would have...
Thanks Brett/Andy - that ties up with Richie's statement that the team selection has nothing do with raising money. As that is clear and understood, people can move on.
A copy and paste of a PM from em to Uncle Spielberg earlier about this:
And the reason this thread has been unstuck is so I can copy out all the shite and leave a nice clean one at the top again.
In honour of you US, I'm going to go LARGE on Hufflepuff. I might even chip in a couple of bob extra if he STROKES home the winning goal/penalty again.
Last year could have just been a 'blip' could it not?
I have a vague memory that most years c£500 has been raised from player sponsorship across all players. The ginger dream machine raised around that himself last year I think.
The Huffletron set a great example last year, raising about a zillion pounds singlehandedly (and still had time to score the winning penalty). As such I shall be nailing my money firmly on his proverbial mast this year.
He sets the example for others to follow.:clap2: :clap2:
