The interesting thing for Sagan is what type of rider is he going to end up? Is he a modern day Sean Kelly and we're going to see a rider who can win classics, and overall stage races? Or does he purely want to become a sprinter? No doubt Kelly sees him as a kindred spirit, but what is in...

I thought Greipel was exceptional to be honest. 4 stage wins, he blew everyone away. You can say nobody gave any competition, or that he and his team were just bang on the money. With few sprint stages in this Tour, to win 4 is just incredible. Sagan and Cavendish were desperate for stage wins...

So, with all the talk of doping etc. this tour was decided on who was sharpest in not getting caught out by cross winds on stage 2...

Well, I thought the same thing live watching it as said in my posts. Replays show him looking multiple times, so him saying he didn't see Froome stop is just a lie. If he needs to lie then he knows he's done wrong really. Racing is racing, and Miller maybe right that if you get all prepared to...

David Miller seems to think that if Nibali had that moved previously planned, or had been preparing it, he may have had to go regardless, it's racing. That said, replays again show Nibali really looking to see what happened to Froome, then went as soon as he saw him stop. I don't know, didn't...

I heard someone died on the descent on this years La Marmotte. Went straight over a barrier on the Glandon descent. A lot of riders out so who knows if he was 'Barguil'd' or of his own bike handling. Scary stuff.

No, he quite clearly looked back, looked back again, made sure Froome had actually stopped, then he went. None of the others attacked at that point. Froome actually got a stone wedged into his brake caliper so stopped to flick it back out and was back with the group pretty quick.

I completely agree, and I do genuinely also have a bit man-love for the G-man, but I don't think he can touch the top GC riders. He had a great chance at the Tour de Suisse and just came up short. He needs to win one of these big stage races if he's going to prove he can win a GT. I don't think...

I can tell you, he puts the power down, changes the coefficient of friction between his rear tyre and the road, which as soon as that slips sends the rest of the bike all over the road. Simples.

G is a long way off the performance of Froome in a grand tour. LeMond had already showed he could beat Hinault, as Froome had already shown he could beat Wiggins in both the Vuelta 2011, and Le Tour in 2012. The most likely scenario is that G leads Sky in the Vuelta this year, and Giro next to...

Watched that fall back a few times to try to see what happened, and I think what caused it is that he started peddling too early. You see him coast around the corner which looks fine until he peddles a fraction before he is out of the corner, he does one rotation of the crank and the back wheel...

Will be nice to get back to racing after a day of discussing telegraph poles, braking zones, jersey respect, man love, oval chainrings, power data, and finishing second, again.

So Sky give into media pressure, rightly probably and release some of Froome's power data. The French 2 claim of 7W per kg seems a wild estimate compared to the actual 5.78W per kg. http://www.theguardian.com/sport/2015/jul/21/team-sky-chris-froome-performance-data-stage-10

He's that rare thing in elite sport where he seems completely unaffected by his fame/fortune/talent/achievements. So many seem to lose that basic joy and enjoyment of what they do, or at least they appear to. Sagan is another who just seems to have that rare boyish joy of 'holy crap I'm leading...
