Did they have to get special parental permission to court someone from over the border?

I had a big clear out about six months ago where I decided to get rid of all the ones I didn't use, and limit myself to the ones I used relatively regularly, a few special (sentimental) ones, and the odd purchase. Just a large handful left. Sorry!

Never heard of these before - so have had to look them up. My job (rights of way historical stuff) automatically involves things like mileposts and signposts, so this is obviously of interest to me. Not quite a member of the milestone society, but not far off!

1996 was my swap date. Even better though, the pigs were for children's accounts only - and as I worked at Nat West at the time, I opened an account for my non-existent Nephew Nigel. So, basically Nat West bought me my clock!
