So it comes down to the fact he needs a payrise to get a permit. The club at this point decide whether he is worth the payrise, or whether it makes more financial sense to sell him. With the talk of him 'being unlikely to get a permit' it appears they may have chosen the later... but we wait...

I have had a 'sleepless night' trying to fit Percy Tau into the 25 man squad. And then I finally remembered that Knockaert allegedly had his leaving party last night. *rolls eyes*

See post #1085 It could be about building a case. His winning of player of the league in Belgium last season would be part if this. If he could pick up a player of the tournament award here or similar, or African player of the year or suchlike, then that would all count in his favour.
