Not just you. He basically plays the exact same set of positions as Izzy Brown. Which is why I suspect this transfer became very unlikely when Izzy signed. Maybe it was one or the other.

"Every player has his price" of course. But I look to the ones who have been kept out of the publicity - notably Ince and LuaLua - as the ones that'll be leaving. Those featured and focused on, not so much.

I don't think Skalak is leaving, as he wouldn't have been prominent at all at the PL publicity shoot if he was. Hughton has already said that those who are going know they are.

Doubt Skalak or Murphy are going anywhere tbh. especially as the club made a point of highlighting Skalak at the PL publicity shoot.

That works, but it does mean the defender must be U21.

The only way I can see the numbers working is if the 9th defender is U21, ie Gomez or similar, or if Baldock is out for the first half of the season and doesn't make the squad.

But where is the space in the 25 unless Baldock fails to make it ? We already have 21 + Top Striker + Main Midfielder + 9th defender + 3rd goalie as it stands without another Baldock.
