No, he has said that players will not be sold in January. Usually he would then state that "every player has his price", but very, very tellingly not this time. Of course ultra-silly money always wins, but no one would pay that for a player who is potentially free in 6 months time.

That is just semantically trying to misinterpret Tony. You need to look at the way it was said, and the expression on his face. It was was not a sneaky political answer.
