That is a totally offensive comment.
There is nothing 'snidey' about pointing out the untruths you've peddled about :
- RT News being French
- Fictional non existent 'unanimous votes' in the Kyiv Parliament.
Oh, so you were talking about a financial gift / loan ?
The way you've come across with talk of fictional unamimous votes in Kyiv, I thought you were talking of EU membership.
Presumably your comparision with Scotland then was about how long it would take Scotland to get a loan ???
I don't know where you are getting this nonsense about Ukraine rapidly joining the EU. Possibly RT News ( Putin TV ) ?
It takes years for anyone to join. There is no way around this.
Serbia is starting the initial process and they are years away.
Turkey began the process in 2005 and still...
Yes the President who had appointed his cronys to the judiciary, who then removed the power of Parliament to get rid of him. All very dodgy.
Hence the return to the previous constitution and Parliament kicking him out. Elections in May.
Russian paratroopers alledgedly have taken a Gas facility just over the border from Crimea in Kherson region of Ukraine.
The main invasion has started ???
Indeed.
Embargoing the gas supplies from Russia would cost Putin 100 billion $ per year and, as you say, collapse the economy.
US now talking of supplying Europe's gas, and of course Norway could take up a lot of the slack as well.
I suspect this measure is being kept in reserve in case of a...
Actually only ships over a certain size need permission to use the Bosphorus. It could be accompanied by any number of smaller vessels.
It's difficult to guess which ship this will be yet as any US Navy vessels in the Mediterranean could equally be heading to Syria.
Plenty of theories that...
US Navy given permission by Turkey to send vessel through to Black Sea.
Unknown what type of ship / submarine.
Is it the first of many to gradually ratchet up the pressure ???
Putin: Big, big win, Crimea gained, can still influence Ukraine with economic policies. Looks strong, shores up position in Russia. No cost.
Ukraine: Slight win if Putin stays out further. Yanukovich and corrupted Government run by Oligarchs kicked out. Chance for new democratic government, and...
Putin just said no more need to send troops further into Ukraine.
A deal has been done behind the scenes I reckon.
Of course he has said 'reserve the right to use force' etc. but that's surely just strong rhetoric to reinforce his bargaining position.
I wonder what has gone on ?
These are the 150,000 on the eastern border, not the ones in Crimea of course.
Very good news, if true. It suggests Putin isn't going for a land grab of the entire country ( for now ).
US satelites will report the truth on this anyway so it would be a pointless lie from Russia to be honest.
Yes, 'not helpful' at all from the UK Government, but now they appear to be doing some serious backtracking saying this was a suggestion not agreed policy. Hmmm.
