Re: Kevin Davies???Kevin Davies??? Actually we can also sign players who, for example, were on a one month contract on Jan 31, once that month is up. What we cannot do is get players to get their contracts terminated by mutual consent and then sign them.

We can now only sign a player who was out of contract on 31st of January. Those are the rules, please check them on the FA website if you doubt them.
