Doesn't read like that to me at all.
To me it reads that they had an Initial report, then only recently attached appendices totaling a document to 500 pages. The charges themselves were then not particularised until the 13th.
In a strongly worded statement, released on their website, the LMA said: "Brighton & Hove Albion FC ordered Gus Poyet to attend a crucial disciplinary hearing today, despite the fact that he only returned from annual leave yesterday and the charges were not particularised until 13th June...
It says so in the LMA statement, they had the initial report which was made up of alot of appendices recently. This would have also contained the charges against Poyet.
Being particluraised means that they now have the specifics of each charge.
So hypothetically (and desperately trying not...
Yeah, pretty sure of that as well. I think the the fact the board called the meeting for today and made that public was to nail Gus and the LMA down to responding within 5 days of today.
Perhaps the board aren't the muppets some are seeming to claim.
Just to be clear, however, we are confident that Gus will demonstrate there is no case to answer in this matter.
Why are they so confident if they haven't had time to read it all?
They should replace 'confident' with' hoping'
How I read it is they got the particularised version on the 13th i.e the specifics of each charge.
This is not to be confused with the 500 page document that the LMA said in their statement is made up of lengthy appendices anyway and they have been sitting on before the 13th.
In other words...
It was relevant info though, a meeting had been scheduled for today, Gus decided not to attend for legal reasons, all parties decided to reconvene on Thursday.
Now everyone knows whats happening and when.
Seems the club get flamed if they do or if they don't so can't win anyway.
The club had to say something, it seemed everyman and his dog knew that some kind of meeting was supposed to happen today.
Re-reading the club statement I think the LMA's response is a bit of an over reaction.
I agree, the club are entitled to work to their own time table not Gus and his Union rep.
Also some seem to be still under the impression that this so called 500 page document only appeared on Friday.
