I hope and pray that we dont have a bad run and them a good one so that we swap places by Easter. I wouldnt say that them being relegated is by anyway a foregone fact by any means as many are now saying on here.
Nobody is disputing Fergies ability but similarly you cannot dispute the fact that the team were on the way down when he leftand he knew that.. So as you say whoever followed had a difficult task in front of them.
Fergie knew exactrly when to leave united as in deed Busby did before him as both left when their team was on the decline and left new managers to pick up the pieces.
As I have said I think that Moyes will pull them clear and be handed the job full time in May..
If I was a Hammers fan, which I am not, I would be far happier to have Moyes than a lot of managers that are on the look out for a job. I think that he will keep them up.
As I said in an earlier post sbout Gus the fans would love his style of play and I think that he would serve them well until his ego got the better of him. I do however think that their best hope of survival is Moyes. He took over United when Fergie knew they were on the way down similar...
