    Is there not a rule inplace which states that all teams must play the strongest available side. The argument being that 10 player were suffering knocks and strains and that it was the strongest as the rest were too tired after a long hard season.

    They are trying munipulate the play offs to their best advantage and not playing fair with the relegation candidates. They know the prize at the end of the road.

    I would fine them £500k and deduct 7 points so that they have to win on Sunday or Leeds would make the play offs. That would stop others doing the same in the future to manipulate who they meet in the play offs.

    I agree and that is as it was until TV decided football matches and they changed the format bringing in the play offs to promote more TV soccer.

    That was muted some time ago, possibly by PB, and seems to be a much fairer way of rewarding the team that did best in the league and giving the others a chance.
