Not changing the argument just expanding IMHO right or wrong he played a bad ball to Hunemier putting him in trouble when he should have launched it forward. We shall never agree so just leave it as it is with our own opinions.
Possession is fine but when needing a goal in the last few minutes the quickest route to their goal is a big kick.
That was the game I meant when a big kick to either corner was what was needed but he kicked it stright down the middle. If only he had done the same at Lincoln.
You dont expect a keeper to slice it out although IIRC he cost us a crucial game at The Amex doing just that in the last few minutes. Even in his prime he wasnt IMHO one of our better keepers.
Havent seen much of him but going by the reports on here which are mixed and the odd game on player for U23s I am not impressed or convinced he is anywhere near FL standard even Div 2.
I think that he was being polite and it was 2 defensive errors compounded by goal keeping inadequacies. It is the view of many that were there that he played a ball to Hunemier who had players around him and his experience should have helped Tomori but it didnt ad he didnt tell him he had...
With due respect that was 5 years ago and he was considerably younger and more capable then. Apparently he looked old and past it on Saturday according to some of our fans and also their penalty taker in todays papers.
I dont think that he should have passed to Hunemier, who had a player nearby, the ball should have been lumped forward especially as we needed a goal.
.
ps Exile he could have shouted that he had time to let it run to his right foot to clear. As I say just an opinion having watched the...
Major contribution to the last 2 goals. He didnt give Tomori a shout and then passed to Hunemier with a pass that put him trouble immediately, other than that he did ok
